ABOUT NE2P

The Northeast Second Partnership, Inc. (NE2P) is a community initiated and collaborative effort composed of diverse community stakeholders interested in a comprehensive revitalization of the key commercial corridors in the Little Haiti community. NE2P is committed to creating and sustaining a vibrant commercial center to increase economic development in Little Haiti by increasing the quantity and quality of employment opportunities, by increasing long term investment in the area, and by increasing opportunity for commerce. NE2P strives to preserve and highlight the vitality of the Haitian-American community so all visitors can get a sense of Little Haiti’s history and culture.

NE2P has facilitated micro-enterprise grants to small businesses in Little Haiti and advocated for the preservation of the cultural significance of the area. We are diligently working toward making Little Haiti a cultural destination. Therefore, our organization is focused on addressing the key issues need for a comprehensive revitalization.

To achieve success in these areas, NE2P is involved in multiple projects in the community:

-Cultural tours to market and brand Little Haiti

-Cultural events to promote are as a cultural destination

-Technical assistance for small business development

-Citizens on Patrol to increase public safety and quality of life

-Advocacy for public services needed in the community

-Little Haiti Small Business Association

Already a vibrant community, Little Haiti has the potential to be the ultimate authentic Haitian cultural experience. As the commercial landscape transitions, NE2P foresees that area small businesses will be able to capitalize and benefit from the increase in traffic and pedestrian counts. In order to realize these benefits, NE2P hopes to coach and assist small business artisans, retailers, and restaurateurs for their next phase of growth by building a partnership between small business and property owners in Little Haiti. Northeast Second Avenue Partnership (NE2P) aims to build the capacity of Little Haiti small businesses by establishing a Little Haiti Business Association.   This is an innovative collaboration of the community that currently does not exist in the area. .

NE2P provides technical assistance to micro-enterprises within District 5. Our organization can help small businesses access programs and services offered by the City. These programs include Commercial Façade, Code compliance and the Small Business Loan Fund.

Are you a small business owner in District 5? Are you interested in joining NE2P’s Small Business Association?
